THERAPY FOR YOUTH
MY APPROACH
When working with youth, my approach is attachment and relationship-based. I am an eclectic and creative therapist and I love incorporating elements of art, play, and drama therapy into my sessions. I work closely with parents and caregivers in this process. My approach is rooted in a parents-as-a-first-teacher perspective. Together, we will work towards helping your child to feel safe, supported, and understood throughout all stages of adolescence.
I combine over a decade of experience working with children and teens who are learning to bond with caretakers and peers, navigate school, and experience the joys of childhood. I hold a Master’s degree in Adolescent and Child Psychology, and have worked as an elementary school teacher. After transitioning into the mental health field, I received wonderful training in how to provide psychotherapy services to children and teens while working in community mental health.
